No. Whilst studies show that the pH of the skin (in the external intimate area as well) is about 5 in younger women and increases with age, a higher pH value reduces the skin's ability to fight bacteria. Therefore, skin cleansing and skin care products (also for the external intimate area) – for younger and for older individuals – should have a pH of around 5 (not higher) to prevent alkalising the skin and to maintain its natural acid mantle.
There are many different causes for recurrent vaginal yeast infections. Vagisan Intimate Wash Lotion alone cannot prevent yeast infections. But since one of the possible factors that contribute towards vaginal yeast infections is insufficient intimate hygiene, the regular use of Vagisan Intimate Wash Lotion can support your body’s natural defences. Many users report that they develop yeast infections less frequently since using Vagisan Intimate Wash Lotion.
A usage study was carried out for this product. Vagisan Intimate Wash Lotion was predominantly rated good or very good by the testers in regards to tolerance and product efficacy.
